The shikra is a small bird of prey found widely across Asia and Africa. Its other nomenclature is the little banded goshawk.

Was on a driving trip to the confines of the country side. The drive had been all that had expected. Then chanced upon an area where took a bit of a break where this bird of prey we found with a live catch. In its clutches lies its prey, caught in front of our eyes.

The small bird was caught mid-flight and it turned out to be an experience to remember. Indeed a memorable drive. Fully satisfied and rejuvenated, thanks to the live episode happening in front of ones eyes and not being behind the remote control and looking at NGC or DC.

You never know when the world of mother nature can surprise you. Action happens in every bit of a moment. You blink and you have lost it. Well not this time. Lucky, huh!
